The Problem
The Internet offers access to unprecedented and uncontrollable amounts of information. There are one million new pages on the Web every day, and website owners compete heavily for attention, so they buy our tools to attract and retain users, to make their websites “sticky” and to increase their mind-share.

Our Solution
4DText tools enhance websites by offering the user access to more information while remaining at the original site. We provide stimulating content with a unique adaptive interface that is driven by the user’s profile, and the user can ask for more information by using mouse or keyboard gestures. Text can be “decorated” using font faces and colors, for example, to indicate to the user that there is 4Dimensional text information behind the first layer of text. The information made available to the user is a combination of the interests expressed in the user profile, and the goals of the website designer. An important result of this approach: the user stays at the original website, without being led off to other sites by hyperlinks.

Our general-purpose tools allow a developer to begin with an existing website and embed enhancements, gradually or in big steps. These enhancements allow the user to ask for more information in the form of text, images, sound, video, maps, graphics, and more. The user intuitively “pulls” the information that he wants. The text enhancements that we support can be embedded in almost any website. We are particularly interested in, even obsessed with, websites that provide text for the user. We integrate smoothly with websites developed using commercial tools (E.g. Adobe’s Dreamweaver) or open-source tools (Drupal, Django or Joomla); as well as with other commercial content management systems.
